    The Foundation focuses its grant making on initiatives and projects that build nonprofits' capacity to do their work more effectively and efficiently. The foundation prioritizes funding organizations that are intentional about:

    Working in under-resourced communities.

    Providing services / support to historically marginalized populations.

    Advocating for under-served populations.

    Promoting racial equity.

    Building community assets that strengthen civic infrastructure.


    The foundation focuses our grantmaking on the following Metro Atlanta counties: Butts, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, and Rockdale.


    Types of Funding Support Typically Eligible for Consideration:

    • Capital infrastructure projects critical to achieving an organization's strategic growth goals.
    • Strategic expansion initiatives to enable an organization to better achieve its mission.
    • Organizational partnerships and mergers designed to maximize community impact.
    • Requests for early-stage investment in new and emerging projects are sometimes considered, if a project can demonstrate impact and a viable plan for financial sustainability.

    • Requests for early-stage investment in new and emerging program models are sometimes considered if you can demonstrate your project's impact and a viable plan for financial sustainability.


    The Foundation Does Not Fund:

    • annual program and operating support
    • funds for an organization to decide how to re-grant to other organizations
    • tickets to charitable events or dinners
    • research
    • conferences or seminars
    • sponsorship of productions, performances or special events
    • legislative lobbying or other political purposes
    • requests to retire accumulated debt
    • grants or loans to individuals

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible Applicants:

    • are classified as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service;
    • have paid staff; and
    • are focused primarily on serving communities in Metro Atlanta.


    Deadline Details

    Applicants should first submit a letter of interest for funding. If invited to submit a full proposal, applications are to be submitted for a seasonal deadline.

    Award Details

    Award amounts vary. Recent awards have generally ranged from $50,000 to $200,000.
