    Summary

    The purpose of this federal grant program is to enhance the capacity of current 21st Century Community Learning Center programs (CCLC) to include students with disabilities into an array of activities designed to complement their school-day programs, advance student achievement, and provide opportunities for socializing and participating with peers without disabilities.

    Priorities for this grant program include:

    • Providing inclusive academic enrichment opportunities along with other activities designed to complement the students' core school-day programs and support social and emotional development;
    • Providing professional development opportunities that support the understanding of the learning and communication characteristics of students with disabilities; and
    • Supporting children and youth in all domains of development.
