The New York Community Bank Foundation was organized in 1997, exclusively for charitable purposes. The Foundation is committed to providing grants designed to further community development, expand home ownership opportunities and provide access to affordable housing in the local community served by New York Community Bank. In addition, the Foundation supports local community organizations, such as those in the health, education and culture categories, which contribute to the quality of life.
A sample of past grant awards is available to view here: http://www.roslynsavingsfoundation.org/new-pastgrants.htm.
The NYCB Foundation will not fund religious, political, fraternal organizations or individuals. Agencies will not be considered automatically for funding the following year. Proposals with updated attachments will need to be submitted. In some cases, site visits will be scheduled before funding decisions are made. An agency, approved for funding, will be expected to submit regular updates detailing the grant status and any matters the non-profit deems important.
501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving Queens or Long Island are eligible to apply.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Most awards are for $25,000 or less.
