The Moccasin Lake Foundation is a private not-for-profit organization founded in 1991 as a long-term philanthropic program. The Foundation has been established with broad charitable purposes so that its grant-making policies may always reflect the diverse interests of the Moccasin Lake Foundation and its individual board members. Most of their focus tends to be in the Pacific Northwest.
Specifically, the Moccasin Lake Foundation has set up committees to focus on three main areas: Education, Social Services, and the Environment.

The Moccasin Lake Foundation awarded a total of $9,528,070 for grants in 2016. Recent awardees include: Acres of Diamonds, Aero Meethow rescue Service, Amara, American Prairie Foundation, and The Answer for Youth.
Areas of funding may include capital campaigns, operating budgets and special projects.
Eligible applicants for Education related grants must be located in Washington State counties of King, Pierce, Snohomish, Yakima or Okanogan.
Eligible applicants for Social Service-related grants must be located in the King, Pierce, Snohomish, Yakima, and Okanogan Counties of Washington State.
Grants are not given to individuals.
The Moccasin Lake Foundation does not have specific deadlines. The Board of Trustees meet three times per year to consider proposals which are not publicized in advance. Please allow six months for your proposal to be reviewed and responded to by the Foundation.
Award amounts vary. Grants may not exceed 10% of an organization's annual budget. Educational grants range between $2,500- $25,000.
