    • Community Investment and Economic Development: The foundation supports programs designed to promote affordable housing for low-and moderate-income individuals and communities; foster economic development projects designed to improve quality of life, sustain economic development, and support job skills for low-and moderate-income individuals and communities; and promote community development; provide credit counseling, homeownership counseling, home maintenance, and other financial service education; and programs designed to promote the environment
    • Youth and Education: The foundation supports programs designed to enrich a child's educational opportunities including school programming, curriculum development from outside organizations, after-school initiatives, early childhood development, and special education programs. Special emphasis is directed toward programs targeting low-and moderate-income communities
    • Health and Human Services: The foundation supports programs designed to revitalize or stabilize low- and moderate-income areas and/or support community services targeting low-and moderate-income individuals
    • Arts and Culture: The foundation supports visual and performing arts opportunities, including museums, libraries, cultural centers, and public radio and television stations that support programs targeting low-and moderate-income communities
     

    History of Funding

    Santander US contributed more than $29 million to more than 400 nonprofits in 2022.
