The Sander Foundation was established in 2005 in MO. The organization supports projects in the following subject areas:
Giving to organizations that assist challenged children, support selected education, or protect and improve our natural world environment. In addition, support is given to organizations that support wounded warriors. The foundation prefers to give to smaller organizations where the contribution can make a difference Priority consideration will be provided for projects that engage the following population groups: Children and youth; Low-income people; and Military personnel.
The foundation has funded 179 grants to 112 organizations totaling $2,580,839 over the past five years.

Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations operating in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area. Additional limited funding in Florida and Washington, D.C.
