The mission of the SRP Corporate Contributions program is help improve the communities where it has a strong business presence.
SRP Community grants focus on the following priority areas:
Arts and Culture - to support arts programs that enhance the quality of life in communities where SRP does business by:
- Sponsoring major professional arts organizations and regional presenters of arts programming; and
- Supporting local performing-arts organizations that reflect the diversity of SRP's service area
Civic Leadership - to support civic involvement in communities where SRP does business by:
- Increasing the community's ability to identify and train residents to serve in leadership positions, with preference given to programs that heighten civic leadership and provide opportunities for SRP employees to engage;
- Sponsoring select special community events that promote pride in the diverse communities; and
- Supporting community forums that enhance the quality of life through the discussion of emerging issues and strategic planning
Environment - to promote the stewardship of Arizona's natural resources and protecting the water and air quality of the state by:
- Increasing the ability of residents to improve the environmental quality of their neighborhoods; and
- Supporting programs that promote the awareness and understanding of technical environmental issues

Education
- Increasing the quality of math, and science education provided to students in grades K-12 through development of Highly Qualified Teachers and supporting "train the trainer" programs for educators;
- Preparing teachers to better equip students for higher education by encouraging student success in physical science, engineering or environmental science through enrichment activities and access to technology;
- Developing job readiness and employment skills for high-school students; and
- Assisting educators to implement programs that highlight the wise use of water and electricity as important resources
Health and Human Services - Helping to make safe and health communities by:
- Supporting programs that reach out to underserved communities to promote the individual's ability to overcome barriers and be self-sufficient;
- Increasing the community's ability to care for individuals who are in need of food, shelter, and safety from violent or crisis situations;
- Increasing the ability of children to participate in youth programs that promote personal development and positive life choices;
- Supporting underserved communities' access to hospitals and medical care as an integral part of a thriving community; and
- Sponsoring programs that seek to highlight the constant need for water and electric safety
Under no circumstances will SRP donate service (water, electricity) or equipment or services for which a fee is normally charged.
