The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin (Community Foundation) is a repository for more than 600 charitable funds worth more than $42,000,000. Each of these funds was created by donors to enhance the quality of life in Southern Wisconsin. The Community Foundation services these funds by managing the investment, encouraging and supporting additions, overseeing the disbursement of grants and scholarships, and managing the requisite government paperwork.
The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin serves communities in nine Southern Wisconsin counties: Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Rock, Sauk, Vernon, and Walworth. The Community Foundation provides services to donors, non-profit organizations, and students in each of these counties.
Shared Vision:
The lives of all people in the communities served will be touched by the Community Foundation.

"We will be there. For good. For ever."
To fulfill their mission, the Community Foundation provides services to:
- Charitable Donors, making a difference in their communities through their charitable gifts.
- Non-profit Organizations, including schools and governmental bodies, seeking support for projects and programs.
- Students seeking scholarships.
The Community Foundation:
- assists donors by helping them create charitable funds to support the causes of their choice. “Donors” include individuals, organizations, and informal groups united for a common purpose. The Community Foundation also brings information about community needs to the attention of our donors.
- assists non-profit organizations through our competitive grantmaking program which provides a variety of opportunities for these organizations to receive financial support. The Community Foundation also assists non-profit organizations in the creation of funds solely for the support of their organization.
- assists students by serving as a scholarship resource for both high school graduates and older students. Each year the Community Foundation makes nearly 400 scholarship awards across the Southern Wisconsin region. Scholarship listings are a valuable tool for students seeking support for post-high school education.
