    The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay (CFTB) allows donors to make a difference in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties in Florida. CFTB focuses on the following areas:

    Building the Workforce -  Education and skills development programs that enable individuals to reach socioeconomic self-sufficiency throughout the four counties served

    Strengthen Neighborhoods - Projects that build safe, stable neighborhoods and programs that enrich lives

    Engage Youth - Programs or projects that serve and engage youth people especially those in Hispanic and Minority communities

    Support People in Crisis - Social support programs that build stronger, more comprehensive systems to benefit the elderly and families with a special focus on addressing mental health

    Alleviated Hunger - Projects that ensure ample access to nutritious food especially for those who need

    Funds are not provided for:

    • Organizations that are not tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code;
    • Organizations that are not based in and serving communities in Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, or Pinellas counties;
    • Capital campaigns or purchase of capital items over $1,000;
    • Operating, administration, or fundraising costs;
    • Political campaigns or direct lobbying efforts;
    • Religious or sectarian purposes;
    • Medical or scientific research; or
    • Annual appeals, fundraising events, or membership contributions

  • Eligibility Details

    Organizations must have a 501(c)(3) status in good standing from the IRS (applicants are required to attach a copy of the IRS letter with the application). Organizations must be based in and serving communities in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas and/or Hernando counties.

    Deadline Details

    Letters of Intent are accepted on a rolling basis. Successful applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal. Letters of Intent and Proposals are reviewed in September, November, January, March and May.
