    Summary

    The Darr Family Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for people in its communities. The Foundation provides support for the following areas:

    • Education - supports organizations that assist at-risk children and families;
    • Health - supports organizations working to address these issues by helping individuals gain access to preventive care, early detection, and treatment of various conditions to improve their quality of life; and
    • Human Services - supports organizations that assist community members facing various hardships, such as natural disasters, financial difficulties, or homelessness. This also includes assistance for those agencies working to foster healthy social development.

    Funding is provided for expansion of existing programs and the establishment of new programs. Funding for capital projects will also be considered.

    Funding is not provided to/for:

    • For-profit organizations;
    • Projects outside the Foundation's mission; organizations whose policies or practices discriminate on the basis of gender, race, religion, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation;

    • Loan payments.

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations located in the following areas:
    • Southwest Missouri counties: Barry, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Polk, Stone, Taney, Webster; and
    • Other communities that host operating facilities for FITCO and IsoNova, including:  Anniston, AL (Calhoun and Talladega counties); Cumming, GA (Forsyth County); Forest, MS (Scott County); Hanceville, AL (Cullman County); Lillington, NC (Harnett County); Spencer, IA (Clay County); Social Circle, GA (Walton and Newton counties); and Texarkana, TX (Bowie county).

    Deadline Details

    Applications must be submitted by March 15 and September 15, annually.

    Award Details

    Most awards range between $1,000 and $20,000.
