This program seeks to serve each of the following categories of victims: sexual assault; child abuse; domestic violence; and previously "underserved” victims. Allowable services, activities, and costs are:
Immediate Health and Safety
Mental Health Assistance
Assistance with Participation in Criminal Justice Proceedings
Forensic Examinations
Costs Necessary and Essential to Providing Direct Services
Personnel Costs
Restorative Justice
This program is designed to provide funding to state and local units of government, non-profit organizations, and communities for direct services to victims of violent crime.

Additional Information
Federal agencies and in-patient treatment facilities (those designed to provide treatment to individuals with drug, alcohol, and/or mental health-related conditions) that offer services to crime victims are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility Details
Eligible applicants are public agencies or nonprofit organizations that provide direct services to crime victims or clients with issues directly related to being a victim of crime.
Deadline Details
Applications must be submitted August 22, 2014, by 2:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
Award Details
The estimated funding available for FY14 is $1,739,622. A cost match of 20 percent of the total cost of the program is required.
