    Note that the Goodrich Foundation generally will not support:

    • Multi-year grants
    • Individuals, private foundations, Booster clubs, endowments, churches or religious programs, fraternal, social or labor organizations
    • Grants to groups with unusually high fundraising or administrative expenses
    • Political parties, candidates or lobbying activities
    • Travel funds for tours, exhibitions or trips by individuals or special interest groups
    • Local athletic or sports programs or equipment, courtesy advertising benefits, raffle tickets and other fundraising events involving purchasing of tables, tickets or advertisements
    • Organizations that receive sizeable portions of their support through municipal, county, state or federal dollars
    • Individual United Way agencies that already benefit from UTC/ UTC Aerospace Systems local support to the United Way campaign
    • Dues or gifts to alumni groups that are not distributed to the eligible higher education institution
    • Fees for publication or merchandise
    • Organizations engaged in or advocating illegal action
    • Any organization determined by UTC to have a conflict of interest

  • Eligibility Details

    The Goodrich Foundation is very specific in the areas that it supports. The Foundation primarily supports national groups (such as FIRST Robotics, United Way and Wounded Warrior Project) or organizations that have the potential to have widespread impact (such as university engineering programs or science-oriented museum programs). 

    The Goodrich Foundation funds only organizations based in the U.S. For funding consideration outside the U.S., please contact your local UTC Aerospace Systems business unit. See their Locations Guide to find the facility nearest you. 

    Deadline Details

    The Goodrich Foundation meets four times per year to consider funding requests; its two application deadlines are March 1 and August 1 of a given year. 

    To request Goodrich Foundation funding, please submit a Foundation application. Required is the following supporting documentation: Current IRS determination letter proving 501(c)(3) status, current year program budget, annual report or current year financial statements and a contact list of key staff and board members.

    Award Details

    Award amounts vary. The Foundation will generally allocate its annual charitable giving according to the following percentages: 
    • Education: 30-40%; 
    • Civic and Community: 15-20%; 
    • Health and Human Services/United Way: 20-30% and 
    • Arts and Culture: 15-20%.
