The Chichester duPont Foundation consists of two funds.
The Clark Fund
was founded in 1946 by Mary Chichester duPont Clark. It devotes particular emphasis to programs concerned with the environment, education, health care and social services and to which the Foundation's giving will play a pivotal role.
The Lydia Fund
, formed on the death of Lydia C. duPont in 1958, was created for the benefit of The Children's Beach House, Lewes, Delaware and focuses on the needs, medical care, treatment and education of underprivileged children throughout the State of Delaware.

Eligibility Details
Eligible applicants are only nonprofit charitable organizations, exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Organizations that develop an association and program understanding, with at least one trustee, experience the greatest likelihood of funding success.
Deadline Details
The Foundation does not accept unsolicited grant proposals. All organizations seeking to submit a grant proposal must first submit an electronic Letter of Inquiry (LOI) by August 1st, annually. Only successful applicants will be invited to submit full proposals, which must be submitted by September 1, annually.
Award Details
Award amounts vary, but do not exceed $50,000. Awards generally last for 1 year. Projects in areas the Foundation has a special interest may be considered for multi-year funding. Organizations may reapply from one year to the next.
