    Summary

    Kobe Foundation funds grants to schools, civic groups and non-profit organizations to expand the education of young people beyond the classroom, with projects, educational programs and field trips, to develop marketable skills in business and career fields. The Foundation seeks to fund specific projects which focus on teens to explore and develop career opportunities. The foundation looks for extracurricular and community programs to expose, prepare and teach young people skills necessary to create a rich and rewarding future for themselves. Foundation grants are intended to supplement the efforts of student, PTA and community fundraising.

    Eligible entities are 501(3)c non-profit organizations, schools (public or private) or non-profit groups (civic organizations, youth groups etc.).

    Deadline Details

    Grants are reviewed and funds distributed twice times a year. Refer to the foundation's website for information on how to initiate the application process. Usually, the cut-off dates are May 1 and October 1 of each year.

    Award Details

    Grants range from $100-$5,000. The Foundation prefers to make small grants for meaningful projects to a number of organizations rather than fewer, larger grants to a few or a single organization.
